I owned a 1/8 scale Duratrax 835e. Any advice for tuning their shocks? Oil weight, spring stiffness. Always rode it on local track (loamy, dry, bumpy, couples big jumps) mostly made of sand. Already bent two shaft (rear and front). Looks like shaft are not bid enough (3,5mm instead of 4 for the Losi 8ight) and I begin to think the steel that they are using are not strong enough as well.
I had two set of springs blue and yellow one (blue one are the stiffer Duratrax made). Here's my question which oil/spring I should use. Last time I broke something at the rear, I was using 50 weight oil and the blue spring. Now rebuilt all the 4 shocks with 35 weight oil and smoother spring (yellow one). I have no idea what it will happen at the track this weekend...to be honest I'm a little bit scare.
Any advice on the shocks tuning for 1/8 electric buggy specially the 835E from Duratrax? I begin to look for replacement shocks from other supplier like Losi but those shocks are so expensive, hope it could have a cheaper solution.
