looks like a solid setup. I'd make sure there's enough people running stadium trucks at your local track. If not 2wd buggy is a pretty safe bet.

Visit the tracks in your area, see what classes are hot. Then once you settle on a class pay attention to what people are running for equipment. Don't forget tires - I've seen many an awesome car run like crap due to the wrong tires.

Tracks are a lot of fun. The b5/t5 platform is very solid and I'm sure you'd be happy with either. I would also consider starting in stock or super stock. Learning to drive a track with an excess of power is tough. It will also give you a better feel for learning to setup the car. More power always sounds fun but I think stock is just as much fun and it's a lot easier when you're learning.

RC10T5M
VTX10R SENSORE
DX4R Pro 4-Chan
S6100 High Voltage
LRP LiPo 2S 7.4V4

I'm going to recommend another setup, not to get you to use product A over product B just to maybe better utilize your money.

RC10T5M
Airtronics MT-4 System ($100 cheaper than DX4R, probably a better radio as well)
Pro/Tek 130SS Servo ($20 cost savings, better speed and appropriate torque)
Tekin RS Gen 2 w/ Redline Gen 2 motor (Similar price, gives you more tuning and better quality IMO)

As far as Lipo's go, check out Vant. I picked one up at my track for like $55 for a 90c 4600 shorty. I also run 100c Orions they run about $65 and are rock solid.

I race here in PHX. You local indoor tracks are SRS and Warehouse3. Both in Glendale. The truck class is not super big or competitive, but they are also older guys like you and I for the most part. I would pass on the viper esc and the spekrtum radio.

I would go this route:

-MT4s radio
-Orion or Hobby Wing v3.1 Stock Spec esc.
-The LRP battery is not great. The orion 100c shorty is not bad or overly expensive.
-The servo is a tad slow. I would look at the Protek 150s.
- Tires. At both SRS and W3 Proline Prime slicks are the go to tire. M4 will be more grabby than clays. The fast guys are running clay tires.
- For the motor lots of good ones. I would run mod ST and pickup a 13.5 or 10.5. 17.5 is just too much heat issue crap.

FYI, the most popular class is 17.5 buggy. The new B5M Lite might be a good choice. It comes pretty well decked out and 90% of the drivers run B5M's, so you will get lots of support and help.

LASTLY, Check out red rock hobbies in Chandler. Most everything is Amain priced, after tax....

Feel free to look me up at the track and I will be glad to assist.

Also you will need tires and wheels for your truck, I put a cart together at Tower Hobbies with everything but the servo and lipo because that is only sold at amain. The total was $820 but you would qualify for a $80 coupon so your grand total is $740.

Does a stadium truck really require that much torque? At that price point might as well go Radiopost

big tires. I mean people are bending the aluminum rack on the truck.... and I would stay away from radio post. I have seen too many issues. Amain, has a nice warranty on proteks. Hitec also has great servo warranties. And yes, a 130ss would probably be fine. I use one in my B5M.

I have had good luck with my radiopost, i have heard of issues but never experienced myself. I do love my protek 250s in my d413 but that wouldn't be enough torque in this truck.

As said, go to the track. If they have a practice night, that would be your best bet. I like sc myself, a lot easier to drive.
