Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8702 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “A” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “C” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B – HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 – Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 – Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 – Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 – Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 – Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Use steering stops/limiter washers... more info here.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Hinge Pin Insert Chart:

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Yeah I like mine too. I swapped with a buddy of mine at the track for a pack and then went back to mine. It felt much more "sticky".

Did you also do TKR8104 and TKR8100 Steering and the new TKR5545B Hubs? makes a big difference

One additional item I recommend are the optional taller spring perches. TKR6140B. Me and another racer found out that the LF springs can pop off the short perches. This can happen with the regular springs as well but pretty rare occurrence. The short ones are about 6mm and the tall ones are 10mm.

While many folks seem to be talking about carpet/turf and other high bite surfaces, I thought I'd share some of the opposite. Good ol' indoor clay, loose track true off road style (not high bite and slicks...pins and roost and ruts). FPV fun to boot! If you like it, feel free to subscribe to the channel as I'll soon be doing an "under the hood" of my SCT to show what's in it, and more importantly, what I've done to change it up.

Try clicking on the top of the box where it says "YouTube Video". RCTech's embedding is weird and only works with Flash, which most people don't have anymore.

Here's the full link though, which should work for everybody.

So watching the winter midwest this weekend. Im pretty sure Tekno swept the podium. Got me thinking about selling the tlr. Bornhorst dominated in the a2 main.....lapped the field including teammate hooks. Then in a3 with Bornhorst out...hooks lapped the field.....trucks were flying.

That's how it is at one of my local tracks, It's all tekno. Heck he even stock's Tekno parts. It's a fairly new track( less then a year old) I'm just wishing he would attempt to get a big event hosted at the track.

Tekno is quite popular here too. Not exactly many options for race grade SCT 4x4s so not surprised.

Here is a vid from our last leg of a series race. My vehicle is the black and white one, managed to bump myself from the B Main to start 5th in the amain and finished first.

only change I am thinking at this point is maybe go up to 10K in the center for a bit more pop, and maybe take out the buzz saw steel center diff as its pretty loud. (our outdoor stuff is rough so saves on spurs).

Looking for a good set up for clay indoor track. My truck has a bad issue with the rear kicking up and nose diving off most jumps. At this time I have pink springs all the way around and 35 front and 32.5 rear with stock pistons. Thank you

Like I suggested last time, https://wwwcdn.teknorc.com/wp-conten...oor%20Dirt.pdf Try that, and let us know.

One thing to note on that setup, the springs are the LF ones, and it has the .4 ackerman on it.

Come back to us after and let us know your thoughts.

A few people have asked about it, so...here it is. The under the hood of my SCT410.3, with a bunch of customization. You can see the setup sheet on the FB link and part numbers and details of the how/why in the youtube video.
