Hey gentlemen, what motors are getting this truck around the track with authority? I'm pretty well decided on this truck and need to get a motor as well. Have everything else to go in it. Thanks

Thank you. Look forward to hearing what you think. I started with a 4600 Pro4 in my SCT410 and it was okay. Lacked some snap in that truck (even though it was an absolute rocket in my SC10 4x4) and I ended up getting a Hobbywing 4700. Loved that motor. Curious to see how the 4600 (Pro4 I'll assume?) does in this truck.

The Hobbywing 4000kv is what I use and it is perfect. This truck is heavy duty so it needs the torque. Then add timing for top speed.

What pinion is working with that motor? Does this truck use Mod1, 32 pitch, etc?

It comes with a 14T Mod 1. I am using a 15T because I am using the light weight option parts.

If you are interested in the higher kv 540's. Schuur Speed has two versions. They are fan based....

I really liked the Hobbywing 4700 in my SCT410 and will likely go a similar route with this truck. With this truck being heavier like the Tekno it would likely benefit from a higher torque 545 or 550 sized motor I would think.
