I set mine like Will on the bench. I will begin at a setting where I slowly tighten diff screw until I can't turn diff gear when holding both outdrives from moving. I then have an old bone cut in half that I toss into my DeWalt and spin one out drive while holding the other. I do this for 2 min then switch. I will check diff tightness and then again use DeWalt. I do this 3 to 4 times, then I install diff into car. I will do final setting by holding both rear tires by hand and doing a quick 1 second full throttle squeeze. I look for the front to come off the table about 2 inches. I also try to listen if diff or slipper make noise and adjust accordingly until everything is set where I want it. When I get to the track I will do a few blasts down the front stretch to make sure it is all ok. Then I go race

Looks like Carson Wernimont officially joined Yokomo today. We all know he's been driving Shin's cars for a few month but now it looks like there's a contract in place. Source is Lee Martin's Facebook page.
It'll be nice to have a top tier American running the YZ-2 on clay tracks throughout the U.S. Look forward to seeing what he does at the Reedy Race here on clay after running with Shin, Lee Martin, and Tom Cockerill at Worlds.

I took my YZ-2 out to the Outback Raceway at Amain this morning for it's first outing. I started the day with my B5M Lite and ran about 20-25 laps with that car before switching to the YZ-2. On the second lap with the YZ I was within .3 of a second of my fastest lap with the B5M. I built my YZ to STLNLNST's setup with the exception of using Associated oil and the kit pistons. The car felt good but maybe a bit soft for Outback. It definitely was a bit edgier than my Associated. I feel confident that with some more time I can have the car dialed. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works at LSR.

I might be "thick" or something, but I'm not understanding the options on the set-up sheet for the rear hinge-pin holder spacers. I beleive the manual has you inserting both spacers under the hinge pin holders, but the set-up sheet shows an option for above the hinge pin (on the rear-rear). Is that even possible, or am I reading into this wrong?
What does putting the spacer above the rear-rear holder do? Maybe change angle of gearbox? when would you use it?

No spacers is a low roll center
Spacers installed is a high roll center
