Features for the lastest specification YZ-2DTM3.1

Long specification for dirt Main chassis Inheriting the chassis cut of dirt specification, it is longer with the same wheelbase as CAL3.
Aluminum front suspension mount.
Z2-DTM2B F2 body.
JConcepts ASTRO High Clearance 7inch Wing.

Features for the lastest specification YZ-2CAL3.1

Long specification main chassis for carpets. Long wheelbase that enables even higher speeds.
Steel front suspension mount.
Z2-DTMBL S2 Lightweight body.
Z2-CAL2W LMR Wing.

Common features for the lastest specification YZ-2DTM3.1 / YZ-2CAL3.1

The conventional position and the position of the suspension arm pin 1 mm higher can be selected on the front and back of the front suspension mount.
Bulkhead integrated side plate with increased rigidity.
The kingpin position has been changed with the new steering hub carrier, the axle position has been lengthened by 1 mm, and a steering stopper has also been added.
Battery holder that is easy to adjust according to the height of the battery.
Separate the rear mount base and upper arm holder to increase the flex around the rear and improve traction.
Z2-018-5 5-hole shock mounting specification Rear shock tower.
S4-S1S 3.0mm shaft specification front shock.
S4-S1M 3.0mm shaft specification rear short shock.
S4-008R5B L5 / LD Rear suspension arm (Φ3.5 pin).
Z2-01069 Rear universal shaft (69mm bone).

This is the base setup i'm using with the already mentioned changes + 22mm/28mm strokes
The car is extremely darty on the first steering input. Too nervous and reactive to steering. Will make a vid asap.

Some thoughts based on what you have stated for setup, issues seen, leveraging my own thoughts and what I use a lot for info here:

In general seems that setup would have a lot of rotation I would think, relative to the surface conditions you are running on. The Yokomo springs also stand out to me relative to the measured rates being very soft in comparison to AE V2 springs. Need to see the surface but when playing with no sway bars if traction was up, it definitely made the car feel unsettled for how I drive. I also for the cal3.1 specifically haven't liked the more narrow arm position versus what is stock setup from the manual.

Looking forward to seeing the vid. If you can post up what are standard tires used for your surface that would be great too.

Is there any dirt/dust cover ever made for the transmission of the YZ2 DTM2 buggy? Planning to run this buggy on an outdoor dirt track, so will need the dust cover to protect the spur/pinion from being chewed up by the dirt.

I guess the only feasible option is to adapt the YZ2 DT's 3 gear standup gearbox with gear cover.

There are some posts up on facebook of people doing that to the current cars from what I recall, someone even got pretty inventive and made a rear motor version.

Ever since I switched to Lunsford's Super Duty turnbuckles, I haven't bent nor broken one.

At least I'll have a base to work with now. Filled the rears with 20wt oil and there's still a tad of too much pack in there. Guess I'll have to reduce oil weight or enlarge the holes then. It's meant for a bumpy outdoor dirt track.
