O and I see some of you are running the smc 1900 motor. I got one and the sensor board in the motor went out after one battery pack with the motor only reaching 135 degrees. It runs fine sensor less. How is Danny's customer service? Think he will replace/repair it? That's the reason I got the Orion cause there was a big race yesterday and I didn't have time to try and get it fixed

the hinge pin should slide smooth through the arm. I've had to ream the arm just a little for for the pin to slide in and out smooth. And boiling really helps. 20 minutes, and let cool slowly. I don't boil anymore because I've found I like the stiffer arm. It's a trade off. I've even boiled twice and never broke an arm. They just got beat up and I'd replace. I just boiled a proline wing last night. Good luck

To follow up about my smc motor for those wondering, I contacted smc and Danny immediately contacted me back said to send it in and he'd get it all sorted out. Most probably know but I can confirm excellent customer service on smc's part. I am going to try a 16 maybe a 17 pinion and take out the timing with the Orion 1750 this weekend. I'll report back after I test but judging by how it performed with stock gearing I would bet I can get it at least the same speed maybe faster at the same temperatures than the 1900

I have had a x6r, x7 and x7r over the last 3 years and I have only broken 2 front arms. I have never thought the arms are weak in any way. Most times I see or hear someone break an arm they deserved it. None of the kits out there are bullet proof. The strongest arms I have come across are the tekno arm and I have seen more broken tekno buggy arms then I have seen mugen arms. Boiling the arms are ok but make the arms too soft. Just try to drive clean and know that sometimes things happen and you break stuff.
