Raising the rear hub (pin in the lowest hole) adds rear grip but depending on the surface might make the car prone to traction rolling.

Default Aluminum Servo Arm for Mugen MBX7R ECO

I am getting my Mugen MBX7R ECO ready for the track and I need to know what aluminum Servo Steering arm to go with. I came across this one from Amainhobbies and I am pretty sure that I have seen this specific servo arm on Mugen's in before. I am using a Futaba "S9351" servo. Here is the link:
http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/protek-...k-7810/p232623

I noticed that this is a "Short" clamp and amain also sells the "Long"clamp version. I have no idea if I need the long or short version of this servo arm. Are there better brands than this to go with? It seems like a real simple thing to me I am just guessing the short version is the one to go with?

Which one should I go with? Thanks in advance.

This is the one that I went with. It works perfectly. It is plenty durable if it is able to survive my driving. I can guarantee it is the perfect length. http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/mugen-s...ugb0429/p19312

The arm is durable, but one bad crash and I destroyed the little plastic insert inside.

Better to go with full aluminum. I actually use an axial one and it's great.

I have had way beyond bad crashes and it has never ever hurt the insert. If you saw my driving skills there is no question on its durability

Hey guys, I had some heat issues on Sunday with my new Mbx7r eco.

After 10 minute main, motor temp was just over 220 degrees while RX8 was around 150 degrees. My battery was also temped at 125 degrees.

Setup - RX8 Gen2/1900 motor. 44/16 gearing, 43/13 front/rear. Current limiter at 40.

The car only had roughly 10 minutes of break-in time before Sunday. I was running the 15t pinion to start, but needed the 16t to get my car where i wanted it. The track required a lot of throttle and high speed. I drive aggressively and use the throttle to steer so I know I am spinning tires a lot.

I've run the Gen2/1900 in my tekno eb48.2 for 2 years and never had motor temps go over 200 degrees.

Would a 2050 motor benefit my situation and lower temps?
Would switching to 42/12 front/rear benefit my situation and lower temps?

Thanks!

I had the same problem with my 44/16 setup. I'm going to try a 44/15 first but because of all the rain here in the Midwest I have not been able to run my car in over a month so I'm not sure if this helps

Well...pretty soon I will be putting my RX8 GEN2 T8 ESC in my MBX7r ECO buggy and was wondering if there is a better way of installing it such as having the wires face the rear or right in the middle towards the engine. Here is an example from a member of this board and I think I may install the ESC in this fashion:

Thanks in advance of any advice. This looks like a perfect way to install IMO bt this is my first time doing this.
