Default Best tire for indoor carpet Stadium Truck.

I'm running my Rustler on an indoor carpet track (ozite type racing carpet) with JConcepts green compound pressure points and it works pretty good but the rear tires wear out really fast. Is there a better tire and/or compound that would work better than what I'm using?

I've used the gold Bar codes on carpet with great success and they lasted quite a while.

Most of us at our local track just use the proline streetfighter or similar tire. SXT dope is what most of us use. I'm still using the set I used last year. Some guys tried some of the offroad tires but it didn't seem to give them an advantage. Our track is small and tight though and we run 17.5 blinky, lap times range from about 12-15 seconds depending on layout.

yellow mini-pins indeed, or something similar. You'll have more traction than you know what to do with, they'll last all season, and you won't have to worry about mucking around with tire sauce.

In the UK we have been running on carpet with off road for decades. Nothing works better than either Schumacher mini spikes or mini pins (the latter being the most grippy) in yellow compound. Stagger ribs front or on buggies we use mini pins front and have to cut rows of spike off to reduce grip roll.
There a few places in the US that will get them for you or you can order direct from Schy.

What are the tire sizes you guys are running for stadium truck? Most of the stuff I see is listing for short course trucks. I'm trying to get a stadium truck together for my local track but I don't want to order the wrong thing. Thanks.

Stadium trucks use 2.2'' truck tires. Short course use 2.2''/3''

We tried the Losi slider tires on carpet and they worked great. Used the rears on front and back.

Jon, I had this setup (but the hard compound - blue) on my stock SC truck last year for Spencer and it had tons of grip - which wasn't always a good thing...
