Default Question on compition kit buggy

Is it ok to bash with these type of buggy it u are not racing them on a track.. By bashing I mean going to the park and just running them on grass dirt but not big jumps. I was told that these kit should be kept for racing only. What everyone thoughts on this..

Sure you can bash them. But I would get a truggy for bashing.

The newest generation of 1/10 and 1/8 race machines are very durable and can handle the abuse of bashing no problem. In fact, from working at a hobby store, 1/8 race truggies are the king of bashing, better the ' bashing' type cars, they're just much higher quality

1/8 buggies rock for bashing... Best bit too is they don't want to spend all day on their roof like a savage

Monster trucks look like fun, but you do get tired of walking out the far corners to kick them back up on the wheels. A reliable/sturdy 1:8 buggy or truggy are not just good for the track they are kind of the ultimate bash machine.

Only advantage a buggy has over the truggy is the tire cost is much cheaper and there seem to be more varied options. But to me the truggy is more fun to drive.

The reason I don't bash my 1/10 scale buggy is because it causes wear. The more you drive your car the more slop you get in the steering/suspension. If you are serious about racing, its best to keep your car in the best possible condition.

I fully agree with the statement above as I also would never consider driving any of my race vehicles out side for bashing... I have bashed my 1/8 scales a little and ended up with tons of clean up work...

With that said if you are not planning on doing serious racing and just want something to run in the yard and have fun... Go for it!

Don't run them in grass.
