Default Tekin rx8 current limit

I just purchased au rx8 speed controller. The current limiter is set at 80% from tekin. I am racing dirt oval do I need to turn it up or leave it alone and why.

The current limiter setting is going to take action when you get on the throttle. If you never lift off the throttle then it doesn't matter really where you set it at. If you are on a surface where coming out of the corner and getting back on throttle you encounter some wheel spin or loss of traction, then using the current limiter will help.

Regardless of where you set it at, your top speed will not change...

You can do either.

It really depends on what you're using for motor.

I have had no problems with motor heat 110 in motor temp. 115 speed control 105 on batteries.
