Default China Shocks

Hello All,
I am in the process of making up some XXX-Ts for my 4 nephews... cost is a factor...

Can anyone give me EXPERIENCED feedback on these chineese shocks..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HSP-106004-G..._qi=RTM1562572

Any advice is appreciated (please keep flames to minimum) as I will need to make up 4 XXX-Ts I have the chassis and most of the suspension and sundry parts...
Thanks to members here I have the electronics at a price that I can still live with

They should work great for kids. You may want to buy some extras for parts. Hobbyking has cheap shocks in different sizes and colors.

I haven't used those ones, but my experiance has been that the plastic top parts break and the shafts are usualy too small and break/bend.

You should be able to pick up a set of traxxas rustler/stampede/slash shocks for <$20. There not the best, but you can get parts and 'upgrade' them.

They're close enough to work. I used XXXT shocks on my slash

If you have the $$$ you might want to pick up a set of aluminum shock caps for the traxxas ones too.

Some XXXT shocks from ebay...

I have 2 of them on my Vaterra Kalahari...no issues with them since I don't race...i cracked one of the top mount but its' staying on the pivot ball...It was my fault cuz my rear body post broke and I ran my car without the body and I landed upside down like 20 times. I will buy these Chinese $6 shocks again in the future if my stock ones break again.

If I were u, I will stay away from HSP, yes, they do work properly and cheap, but if you want high end performance, please stay away from HSP, not all Chinese shocks, here just for the HSP. Just pick up some trx shocks if they fit your car, it should be cheap to get them from ebay.

I'm guessing you don't have the stock shocks. If you do then use them.

I used GPM shocks for my mini-t's when i had them. Shocks worked fine but i did find some inconsistencies from one set to another. Overall for bashing around the yard with my buddies they worked fine.
I don't his nephews will be too concerned with top-notch shock performance

For cheap shocks on my old stampede builds, I had great luck with durtrax the shocks. Parts are readily available and I never bent a shafts. They do like to leak if you don't fill proper, but are great cheap aluminium threaded shocks.
