Good luck to the UK guys - at the Euros last month the 2wd A final, 9 of the drivers were British, as well as half of the 4wd A main too!

Hara did start in off-road I believe, I think we'll see Hara, Masami, Neil Cragg, Ellis Stafford, Francis, Cavalieri, Tebo or Jukka up the top of the pack. Possibly Rheinard in 4wd too.

Anyone know anywhere doing "live" coverage? Or any factory drivers gonna post on here during the race?

Thanks
OLI

also, tamiya is coming out with their 406 4wd buggy, so look out for reinhard aswell!
Yes I have seen Tamiya is coming out with a new 4wd buggy but Marc Rheinard is not with Tamiya in offroad. Marc is using a Durango and heīs very fast. But Iīm not sure if he can win, he doesnīt have that much experience in offroad.

I think 4WD will be very interesting as there is a big number of different cars in use there. Especially interesting will be what car the Losi drivers are running. Maybe they will have a new car based on the older XX-4. At least thatīs what I could think of.

Does anyone have any actual coverage? Pics? heats? Or will we have to wait until it is done to read about it?

Hi guys, Scotty here, I just got back to the hotel after the first day of the event. There was no running today, just registration and opening ceremonies. All the best are here. Tomorrow we run 8 rounds of practice starting at 8am. Of the 8 rounds the first 7 are just practice, the 8th round will count for the race order or resort. This means depending on how you do in the practice round 8, will sort you for the qualifiers. Top ten guys in one heat, then next 10 ect. I will try and update every night when I get back to the hotel. Unfortunatly I cannot post any pics, but I will let you know what I can.
Untill tomorrow.
Scotty

I think the Losi guys will run the xx4, or something based closely on that. I suspect most likely is the xx4, maybe with a few new/different bits on it.

Marc has been quick at the Belgian GP and the Euros. both of these are high traction though. He did say to me that he struggled with the low grip at the worlds warm up.

Tamiya seem to be dipping their toe back in the off rd market. Don't think you'll see any run at the worlds, not at the sharp end anyway.

The Losi team can run whichever 4wd car they want to run. Truhe likes the XXX-4, and Easton likes the XX-4. Not sure about the other guys.

My Bet :

4wd : Jorn Neuman
2wd : Craig Drescher

Mostly though I am just fascinated to see how the new breed of 4wd cars will hopefully re-ignite the enthusiasm in this class !!

Cavalieri, Truhe, Tebo, Easton, Masami, Hara, Pavidas, Amezcua, Drescher, Steenari, Ruona, Drake, Kinwald....man, the list of potential winners is long. There are also some others who are not as well known, but just as fast on any given day. Should be interesting!...., Jim

Hardly feels like the last one was all that long ago. Great to see all the diversity in the 4WD class.

I agree its definatly be very interesting i would probably think there will be about two of each type of car the X-5 will probably be out numbered but even with a convert chassis i think there will be a total of 3-4 losi chassis one Kyosho(Pavidas) maybe a Tamiya, Durango and lets not forget the J-Concepts car it will definatly be a race that everyone is going to want to have a dvd of to see the awesome racing.

Hara surely will be in the A-Main but I think there is a good chance more than one Durango will be there. From what I know at least 5 Durangos are run and all of the drivers are very fast.
