You dont have to have a 550 can 4 pole motor to go fast .... Just cause its the biggest doesnt mean its the best. The 550 2 pole motor will be softer down low and use timing to make up with top end speed. The 540 4 pole motor is stronger down low , and uses no timing , so kv is important to get the top end you want . The 550 4 pole motor is just that , a 4 pole motor with even more down low punch . No timing . The 540 4 pole motors are the lightest of the three , and capable of amazing performance. That HW4700 in the xerun version is a proven winner , sensored , and has a 5mm shaft. All can make more power then you can use .

predu I am hoping I can race their this season I was trying to do it last year but the set up I had before was running way too hot.
I would practice a few times a week before work timing my runs at 6-7 minutes a run and measuring temps after run and I recorded temps as high as 180 for the motor and 145 for the ESC. I have a few pinions to play with now 12-17 I believe so I am hoping I can find that sweet spot.
I know that the fast is slow and consistent so I plan on a lot of practice.
I ordered the Hobbywing due to the big holes the turnigy motor had.
I was concerned about debris getting inside their and messing things up.
