Thanks for the quick replies. I will rebuild the diff and follow the proper break in. I also ordered some shims for the idlers and the metal idler gear to go with the new topshaft and sp plastic idler. The only other thing I can think to do is to set the slipper as loose as possible without burning it.

Hey guys I haven't been on here for a while, and was wondering what you guys who have had the SC-6 for a while now think of it pros and or cons compared to the SC/SCR that had it before. Someone local has one fairly cheap for sale and wondering if it is better enough to make the change? Thanks for any input!

I had the SCR and just finished building the SC6 but have not yet had a chance to run it. From the build and the overall design and quality I personally think the SC6 is on another level. What does it for me is the MM option. I've thoroughly driven RM and MM vehicles and even on our outdoor, medium grip track I am 188% sold on the mid motor thing. Everyone's driving style differs so take that with a grain of salt but that's my feeling.

Thought Id share something Im doing with my SC6, one thing I've noticed in MM set up is the truck seems extremely nose heavy on jumps which leads to some nasty nose dives/ lawn darts. I popped my hinge pin brace off today on one of them and I know another guy that lost his yesterday. what i have noticed is that after a hard lawn dart the front bumper actually bends causing the keeper not to be tight against the hinge pin brace. Ive heard people using shoe goo to hold the pin in place which works, I'm doing that as well, but a big problem is the whole front bumper assembly and body mounts are really only held on by two screws, i know they have the screws on the bottom but they don't take the abuse like the two attached to the front clip. So anyways to add a little more support i ran a zip tie through the shock tower and the front bumper assembly, doesn't look too redneck and should help quite a bit.

Why don't anyone run the set screws in the front hinge pins? Both my rb6 and sc6 had them

I run them in all of my cars. My sc6, rb6 and sons rb6.

What hole portions are you guys using on the diggity designs front tower and on the arm?

motorfinger 11-20-2014 03:14 AM

1.4 x 3 and 40 wt oil. All the way out on the tower and all the way out on the arm. Stock pistons in the rear with 32.5 wt oil. Kit springs.

Not sure if you guys seen them on kyoshoamerica but Kyosho is making an updated front shock tower with four holes. Doesn't look available just yet but it is in the part section.

Thread is too quiet for an awesome truck.

Does anyone still run an scr sp as well as this truck? My scr sp felt more light on its feet. The sc6 is great but I am thinking of making mine a mod truck. Am I crazy for thinking this? My scr sp is still sooooo good.

not sure if its because of the winter season or what but its interesting that theres not much discussion on the truck, not very many set ups available and a few already for sale?

between kyosho america, petitrc and Tebos webpage theres only 6 total set ups available?
