No limiters here. I feel like even though this truck handles amazing out of the box, I feel rear droop is at a minimum compared to my other RCs.

On another note under full compression of the rear the driveshafts rub the outer edge of the outdrives. Noticed slight wear after my first race. I tried to eliminate this by using the optional longer bottom shock eyelets, thus increasing rear droop a tad.

We built my sons SC6 at the track the day before JBRL at Coyote finished it right before the first qualifier and after the first round he was sitting 2nd in the A, in the main he battled the whole race and finished 1st in 17.5 A main. the truck is awesome!! no practice and out of the box! Rear motor

I need to stock up on parts

My local track doesn't support Kyosho parts. I actually think this is good for me, I don't want anybody else running this beast : ) call me selfish.

I need to stock up on the necessary spares.

Anyone know where I can find some?
Also how long does it take to hit the US markets after it's release?

I'm new to offroad, but looking at the manual, it seems like if you put the spacers on the shocks as they say - you are only limiting front droop and rear max travel of compression.

So putting them on the shock rod outers on the rear[same as manual] might prevent the driveshaft rubbing, without changing droop anyway.

I'm not sure how much droop is generally wanted for SCT's.?

Good catch man. I had built an RB6 the week prior and it didn't require the spacers for max travel compression -- I must have missed that part in the SC6 manual.

Anyway I just installed the 3mm (2mm + 1mm) spacers last night and it seemed to do the trick.

Thanks!

Stupid dilemma's, trying to decide to build as rear or mid for this weekend's showdown race. My RB6 is mid and I am loving it. Ugh...

If anyone happens to be looking for a kit for less than what they are selling online for...

Anyone have any footage of the sc6 in action?

Hey fellow Kyoshians, curious as to what weight shock oils some of you are using and what you're opinions are on the 5 hole stock pistons for rear mount? Also, has anyone tried straight pack vs saddle pack battery?

Finally in Australia we have a HS that is getting stock of Kyosho and parts at great prices so wanting to support him.
Just waiting on the price and supply timeframe

I order a few things like the body though in preparation fo getting it :D

Hey,

I'd like to know who the hs is that may be stocking parts in oz and if he has a website I could order through. I'd be happy to support aussie hobby stores stocking kyosho also.

Thanks!

I have PM'd you as I wasn't sure if it was against the rules to post the shop.

i'm running 42.5/35 shock oil with 5 hole pistons and i'm also running a shorty pack all the way back

Wow, what type of surface do you run on? How does it handle flying over jumps with the shorty?

Kraig 05-05-2014 08:54 AM

I ran 37.5 front and 30 rear with 5 holes this past weekend at the Shortcourse Showdown. I wish I changed it by going up 2.5 front and rear or change the piston's to 4 hole to get more pack. There was one jump in front of the drivers stand, to a table top landing area, that required you to get a long run to clear the gap. I think either one of those changes would have helped.

Overall, I finished building the truck at the track on Friday and got two practice runs with it by the end of the day. I ended up qualifying 7th out of 40+ trucks and finished 4th in the 7 minute main. My times were right there with the leaders but I was not consistent enough.

I will post my setup in a day or two but my electronic layout is as follows, servo, receiver, square pack, speed control running rear motor. With that layout and a Pro-Line body, with a lot of paint on it, I was 100 grams overweight.

Kraig 05-05-2014 09:11 AM

For those of you running mid motor, have you thought about the following? Run the mid motor RB6 wing mounts for the body mount without having to have holes so far back on the body. 1967rs mentioned this in the RT6 thread when tried to mount the new J-Concepts 0269 body on his mid motor RT6. I thought that this might work but not sure.

Something to think about.
