I believe they are metric in size but I don't know the size.

Hello Kraig, I just found out the thrust balls are 1/16", thus I believe around 1.58mm.

Thank you.

By the way, I got the kit by now and have had the first testing day out on my local track. The truck was amazing  to drive out of the box (ok, with 3-gear stand up transmission and Diggity Designs shock tower). Very stable and lots of traction (which on, our extremely dusty and bumpy track, is quite an achievement on its own, believe me). One of the most satisfying days I ever had with a new car on the track.

I love that SC6 already!

Having trouble with my ultima sc6. Just bought new wheels and tires and when i put the front wheels on and tighten them the wheels wont turn or barely turn at all. I have to back the wheelnut off to have them spin freely, but when racing the nut and tire flies off. Can anyone help me?

If other wheels worked before, you may have bought the wrong wheels this time...

Did you check that you got the right kind (size, offset)?

If that's the first wheels you ever put on a freshly built car, check if you did not miss anything (shims, etc.) during assembly, and make sure everything is like in the manual.

Can't think of anything more right now. You should be able to tighten the wheel nuts for good and the wheels should still spin freely, if everything is working correctly.

i got the de racing speedline plus sc wheels for the sc6. They said it would fit on the front and rear, that it uses the same offset. this is the second pair of wheels that i have gotten that have both locked up on the fronts. It is the rtr version.

DE Racing produce each of their wheels (Speedline Plus, Borrego, Trinidad, etc.) in a variety of different offsets. The SC6 (at least the kit version) needs the wheels for the Slash 4x4 or Slash 2WD (rear) - I don't think there are any marked for the SC6 especially, but maybe I'm wrong on the last part. However, wheels with the offset for e.g. Losi or Tekno trucks are not the correct offset.

RTR makes it unlikely (although not impossible), that the front axles were assembled wrongly, but other than that all I can think of is wrong wheels, sorry.

quick question.can't seem to find the answer...what is the part number for the big bore shock rebuild kit ? built the shocks brand new and one of the rear leaks to no end

Kraig 07-11-2017 10:41 AM

There is no rebuild kit that I know of. You would have to purchase the o-rings separately from each other. For example, the internal ones are either w5184-05, ORG03X, or ORG03XR. The shock body o-rings are W5181-05, ORG078, w5303-03.

Could anyone help me out with a question about the aluminium rear suspension holders?

The manual states that for RR I'd need UMV707 (for running mid-motor), and for RF I'd need UMV705 (for both motor configurations) - however UMV705 seems to have been discontinued and replaced by UMV705B - which usually comes with the warning "only compatible with the RB6.6 laydown transmission setup". So will it actually work on the SC6? Does anybody know?

Kraig 08-28-2017 01:58 PM

UM705B will work on the SC6. The B came out because they had to remove some material from the middle of the arm mount so the laydown transmission would fit.
