Team C please feel free to contact me if you will replace them.

I don't want to have to replace them once every couple of weeks. Thats the reason I am asking about the TD parts as they can be gotten a little cheaper.

I will look at getting another buggy if the new ones I buy are duds so I don't throw more money down the drain.

Slipper too tight:
Id like to think that was the case but Im not clearing the one long jump we have as I do in the 2wd. I have tested it and the slipper slips
That is the only thing I can think of. That is massive wear. Honestly, if my car did that, I would sell and get something else. That was from a month of racing? Also, the fastest motor in the teamc I was driving was an 8.5. If you are running a 5.5, it will wear faster.

oh, I definitely understand. That is pretty crappy. I can only suggest a slipper setting change. The purpose of a slipper is to save the driver terrain. I have a teamc and a bmax4 coming. I can see if the bmaxx slipper fits.

I would agree about the slipper normally, however, on both of mine that have the issue the slipper is set pretty loose. About 3-4 feet of roll out before it stops slipping. We run on a carpet track with chip board jumps and landings so I have to have the slipper loose to deal with the slick sections. I will try and snap a picture tonight if I get a chance.

I wil say I have not heard of this before, and getting the slipper set right the first time took a few tries but have not messed with it since.

The ware you getting is crazy but under high bite could be an issue as the center will take most the abuse from the drive train and that large of a motor. I ran a 6.5 in mine for a year before I switched to a gear diff and wore through one set of outdrives. I would reccomend getting the center gear diff if your running on that much of high traction

Team C TM4 12mm hex measure out to be 4.75mm.
I have been using AKA rims and tyres. Never bothered checking offset etc.

I have done three race meets using the slipper and have a small amount of wear on the outdrives, about .5mm groove. I have also done two meets with the centre gear diff and it looks to be wearing the outdrives at the same rate. More than I expected to be honest but I must put more time on them to decide if it is an issue. Most running is on a loose 8-th scale style track but a couple of times on carpet.
Cheers

I got a new one so I'll be setting it as per the manual and also got a tip to shrink wrap the outdrives and have a good amount of grease etc in it.
I will do this and blow them out after every practice and regrease.

Really hope this helps otherwise I'll be getting another buggy.

There is a hardened middle diff outdrive but that's still another thing to purchase to get it working without excessive wear.
I will not be getting the center diff for that price to get less wear

A gear diff isn't going to help with times either on high grip. Slipper for high grip diff for low-med grip
