Is anyone here having this problem?

RM buggies offers better cooling of motor, so all others equal MM runs hotter (motor wise). This is not an AE issue, I see this here, and on my TLR 22….

They are running hotter because of they weigh more, 4 gear tran, and the motor doesn't get as much air as the rear does. Well that info is what I have picked up from reading post, but I run stock in mine and it was at 115* after 7 min main and that is fine.

Do 1.4x3 taper pistons offer more steering with the same pack as 1.6 tapers? I think I remember reading that for the front and 1.6 pistons offer the most traction in the rear.
Educate me!

Big

3x1.4 has less pack then 2x1.6 , makes for more steering compared to.

I was gonna say. That's awesome, good for him. :)

bigski..... using a 3 hole 1.4 piston in front will allow more oil to flow thru the piston under pressure.. such as coming into a corner... you need to find a balance of pack versus weight transfer.. you may have issues with it compressing so quick in the face of jumps that the front bottoms out and scrubs the jump face surface. not saying that's what those pistons will do.
but if your looking for more rear traction then your looking in the wrong spot. if you want more steering you can also change that in many ways.. couldn't tell from your post what you were looking for in the car.

Built my car yesterday...mostly stock. Used TLR22 titanium turnbuckles (dont lynch me, long time Losi guy here) and machined pistons. Gonna be fun to hit the track and see what little tweaks it needs to fit my driving style.

Broke a rear tower mount and they are not available yet so I made one. Used a Tlr 22 front bulkhead trimmed, drilled and filled.

Impressive!

Regarding any hooking issues, I haven't had any hooking issues myself at OCRC. I'd like to get a set of flat front A-arms to try out since I'm just not sure how much it will change the feel of the car on a nice grip indoor clay track. After putting the Pucks system in my B5M I'm struggling getting the car dialed in again.

I sold my 2nd B5M (still in box) to a friend so I'm on the hunt for another one. If anyone knows of a place with them in stock please post it up here!
