Discussions about adding weight to the front of the car to improve handling need to start including the servo used. There is a high difference in servo weight and now drivers are starting to use even lighter low-profile servos (in general). For example, the difference between a low profile Airtronics servo and an AE XP servo is more than 3/4 oz.

Adding 1/2 oz (mentioned previously) may not be adding anything at all. If he is using a low profile servo, it may not even be enough to equal another driver's heavy servo vehicle.

You will in durability. The b4.2 is brittle in comparison. I would get the b5 to be honest.

I would get the b4. The b4.2 factory bling is kinda useless and the car is much more fragile for a new driver.

I have to agree with the write up... B5 with box setup when drove hard pushes like a dump truck... I will say with a little tuning tho the B5 is way better!

I did experience a push in the corners. I am going to start attacking that issue. How are you guys dealing with the corner push? I changed the ackerman to 3mm and it still pushes.

I haven't added any weight but running a full sized 6040 servo I did have some issues with doing wheelies on our back straight.

B4 and B5 both seem to be a bit of a point and shoot car - massive forward traction with good off power steering. Both of mine have a little bit of on power push compared to my old TLR22 cars. Who knows with the mid...

This is gene hickerson running the intech er12 on the exact track I did my comparison on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_5F...e_gdata_player

as for on power push my setup changes from stock are following.

Front shocks have 2x1.6 ft tapered pistons, 32.5 ae oil, black springs.

Rear shocks are 2x1.6 ft tapered pistons, 27.5 ae shock oil and kit springs. 24mm ride height all around.

you get to race it yet ?

A 1/2 oz on the front end will cure any on power push & wheelie issues.

Maybe adjust the suspension first before adding weight?

ah. I drive corners with off power and shoot it out of the corner. Because if you push off power, they have these things called breaks and they really make the car turn If you want to drive the car on power in the corners, just get the MM car. I drove my MM 22 last weekend and if I was not on the power in the corners, I was facing the wrong way, lol. MM can driven much harder in the corners on power. Mostly because they have crap for rear traction. If you have enough forward traction to wheelie, on power turning will suffer. For me MM was TOOOO much of a good thing, lol. Stiffer rear springs and more limiters in the front should help on power. Of course those changes effect other things, not just steering. weight up front will help keep the wheels down on power, but also make the front sluggish. its all give and take.

Easier just to add the weight and its most effective for a solution.

interested in how you would fix with tuning though.

Definitely something I'll try. I've only run some practice packs through it.

Edit to add: I also am going to put a saddle pack in as I was using a shorty...
