out of curiosity, because being i dont race, i dont know these things....
i get this is geared towards stock racing, but for a person running mod, which of the two would they buy?? .....Cause if they would also buy this new one and just add weight if they wanted, wouldnt it make the "regular" b5m obsolete going foward??...
Which ones gonna get the factory team treatment when the time comes, both??
Is there any reason for someone to now buy the "regular" b5m instead??
pardon me if this sounds ridiculous.....im just trying to figure out what the purpose of the "regular" b5m is going forward. (different transmissions etc)

Default Battery weights

Question for you guys?

Just been weighing the following:

2s 4500mah cased shorty 152g
2s 3200mah cased stick pack 184g
2s 5000mah normal stick 252g
2s 5100mah cased saddle packs 262g
2s 6000mah cased stick pack 298g

I appreciate the sticks won't go in a B5, but curious to have feed back, as when I see posts of adding extra weight in various positions. Also would different mah battery options in saddles, shorties or squares require different pack setting, damping and / or spring settings for the same track set-up.

Many Thanks,

Mike

Where are those CAD drawings from? Looks good though. Though there aren't any good angles of Drescher's car in the former post, in the 2nd picture it looks as though you can see a spur/slipper on the left hand side of the car, run without a gear cover presumably.

I used to run one back in the late 80's. Aerodynamic devices work much better when they're in unobstructed air.

This is going to sound like a complete noob question, but, I must ask. What front tower is for the rear car, and which for the mid car? I had the front of my car torn apart, and had to get up and leave the workbench for a bit. When I came back, I forgot which tower was which. Thanks for your help.

I am running the first one. Ran it for the first time tonight. It seems pretty stout. I showed my spare to a guy that ran the ADI ones, and he thought mine seemed better maid. You do need to use 3mm screws to hold the fan on though. dropped my temps by about 25 degrees.
