A Ballstud broke off in my rear ballstud/camber mount. All the hobby shop had was the exotek rear mount. It looks like it has a - 2mm and a 0mm option but it isn't labeled. I just added an extra 2mm shim on each side but I was hoping someone here may know what the measurements are for sure? The amain description says it offers the stock Heights but side by side it is definitely off. Any input?

So, the friend of mine wants to whats it gonna be:

Should I buy a 2nd B5M CE (unbuild)? Would cost 210$ incl. shipping. I have no actual use for it at the moment BUT:
I tried ray mundays setup for the "B5R" kinda track and it worked awesome. So I am thinking of getting one dirt-B5M and one carpet-B5M.
I am not into racing, so it would be just for fun.

I am kind of linking the challenge to make the B5M "better" on low dirt as the B5R

If you are set on having two separate cars I would get the rear motor b5 for your low traction dirt for more rear bite.
Or get a b5m and just have different shock packages and setups for each track and save yourself some money.

I think I "need" a B5M for carpet action. I tried the B5R but no chance I can even keep up with a friend driving the B5M..He has so much more steering

But jea...it seems like 2 sets of the same car is a stupid idea

where can I get cheap flanged lock nuts for the wheels . Don't care if its anodized. I loose this stuff all the time... so if I can get it at a Lowes or any hardware store...that would be awesome.

TLR makes nice light aluminum nuts plus you get 6, not gonna find anything at a hardware store.

Ok, just imagine the "stock" setting is +1mm. They give you a -2mm side with 3mm of spacers makes "stock" or you can run the +2mm option to get 1mm higher than stock without spacers... Fwiw the stock piece also has -2 and +2 sides. Unless you have an earlier standard B5M and not the lite or CE.

I guess I didn't explain myself well enough as I could barely understand what I wrote myself. The stock has +2 and - 2. I was running +2 with 3mm of spacers. It seems the exotek has - 2 and 0. So I am running the 0 setting with 5mm of spacers. Is that correct? Seems like a lot of spacers on there!

Use the 0mm option on the mount, add 1mm shim for smaller indoor track, or 2mm for larger outdoor track and tune from there.

For the B5M on low traction I did some stuff according to ray mundays setup sheets.
I put up my B5R's shocks, added 25g in the rear and the car was pretty much nice on low traction dirt.

But I found this (I havent really looked at this, but as I read the hudy setup guide). Shouldnt be the shims at the ball stud mount? This would raise the roll center and give me more rear traction, wouldn't it?

Lower rear roll center (more roll)= raise the inner, or lower the outer ball stud locations.

The aluminum ball stud mount you show in the picture is already installed in the "+2" position in relation to the plastic mount that the original B5M had.
