Slipper vs. Exotech direct? Advantages & disadvantages?

Directs are really only beneficial on high bite surfaces. Any track where you have the power to break the wheels loose under acceleration out of a corner, the direct can really bite you in the aft by helping you spin out. In that situation, a slipper would provide a little forgiveness. Slippers also put your tranny under less stress when landing a jump. But the direct significantly lowers your rotating mass which is pretty important in spec'd racing

Can anyone tell me the weight difference between the 3 gear and 4 gear transmissions?

Thanks

I was going to ask the same question. I wonder what the big difference is.

I do know a lot of the fast stock guys at OCRC are running it. I just don't want to buy a new body and paint it, just because of a new transmission.
