Just saw the release. Horrible it is now two separate cars. I was waiting to upgrade the B4.2 but not going to have to buy 2 cars if I don't like the MM. Wow, very disappointed. Guess I am headed back to Kyosho for the RB6.

For the price of the RB6 you can have both B5's without the headache of taking a car apart to swap the motor configuration around if you want to try each.

If this pricing is now correct, those are very fair prices. Im thinking they wont be the factory team kit but if they are like the 4x4 sc truck when it was released then have an upgrade kit then that might me ok.
The description on the Tower website describes the B5 as the "factory team kit". Who knows how accurate that it though.

I'm sure you could buy the other 10% of parts to swap from rear to mid.

If you dont like MM buy the RM? Dual use cars as far as MM and RM are a waste of R&D. You take away from each platform using the same chassis. You need a chassis for each motor config to get the most out of the car. The 22 and RB6 are a cluster to mount electronics in using the same chassis. AE is right on track.

if its a factory team kit for 260.00 then there isnt one person who can complain about that. so what its two cars, its two cars for a reason. there isnt a platform that AE likes that suits both, so to bring us the best they gave us two cars for the price of an RB6. I dont see the problem, I personally will have a B5 RM for stock and a B5M for mod and for our outdoor season ill use the RM car for mod.

Realistically I will wait about a month and get a killer deal on the C4.2 with only a few races on it. Right now folks are still asking stupid prices but in a month or so they will be dirt cheap. That's the plan.

We haven't seen the off-body pics yet. We don't know how they are going to mount the electronics, but I think it would be safe to assume that they made a note of that when designing the B5/M.

Anyone who thinks a Centro or a 4.2 is not competitive or obsolete is kidding themselves.

True on the electronics we dont know how they are going to go in so i was a little fast to assume. But it does not appear to be a super narrow chassis, so i am hopeful its better that some of the others i haves seen.

Tower "wording" gets edited a lot as they get more info. So I'm hoping it's released as a "Factory Team" car..Would be dumb not to IMO. Shocks are the biggest factory team option on all their cars, and this one clearly has them. I would assume it will have all the other "bling" as well.

Doesn't seem to come with any tires..that's a good thing IMO.

Whatever your view on AE quality is. I don't think at that price point (well under $300) we're going to see a change in that department.

I doubt AE would use dog bones in a "team" kit. Composite instead of aluminum or steel CVD's maybe. Also, I thought there was no difference between a CVA and CVD? CVD being a trademark of MIP.
