If the retail on the b5m is 419.99, it will probably be $259.99

I'm going by the b4.2 rtr kit. it is 409.99 retail and 249.99 sale price.

Stock Number
LXDNDV**
Retail Price‡
409.99
Tower's Low Price
$249.99

you must of not seen the new HARD plastic used on the latest B44 suspension arms.
They fit
perfect and are very smooth.
Rivals any in quality .

Spot on!!! That is the pattern I have noticed. I have been buying/building/trading/selling AE cars since I got into this hobby. I don't see them ever doing away with the FT level kits. To many people want all the bling bling (I know I do). And if in not mistaken doesn't it say the RM will be the team kit and the MM will be the FT kit, I thought that's what I read. I personally will be waiting on the FT MM kit. I knew passing on the centro was a good thing, not to say its a bad car. It looks amazing from an engineering standpoint, I'm just a big AE fanboy. Just my $.2

Pretty exciting stuff. George - I might just buy an AE car! The MM would be great up here and at TRCR. What's the most exciting you ask? METRIC! Oh and the car too

Good to hear, I hope that is the case with the new B5. If its one thing I did not like about my B4, it was the plastics that got sloppy very fast. As was the same with my other Associated cars.

Yeah, this happens all the time, people get all amped up seeing the MSRP and are all like "Ermagahd it's so $Texas".

Using the same MSRP to "street" price ratio that they are using on the B4.2, that places the B5 Team at around $220 to $230 before the usual Tower discounts on larger orders.

They should just use their 1/8 plastics. I have an SC8 nitro, and I beat the SHIT out of that thing, and it's still tight. Probably the most mechanically impressive kit I've ever owned. Even the drive cups have zero wear... with about 14 gallons through it.

Only thing that sucks is all the good stuff (Hot Bodies 4wd, TLR 22-4, these cars) are all coming out right as my racing season comes to an end. So I'd get to use them for like 1 race then shelve them till next October. It's not like the MM is really going to work on the slick outdoor track we have here. 1st world problem I guess

Maybe we should change the name of this forum to "RCAssumption" instead of "RCTech"...
99% of the people here don't have a clue and are guessing.

Some of it is coming from AE racer comments on Facebook and there's an RC Car Action article with information as well. Plus guessing.

I wonder if it will be 3/4 gear swappable or offer a plastic mm chassis...? Who wants a hog of an aluminum chassis?
