My bad, looks like Losi is up to at least 38T:
Losi 48P pinions
Choosing all manufacturers I see up to at least 45T.

the boys are just starting out and i hope with better ESCs that come with a brushless system (programable limits ) that i can limit the speed until they have better control.
The xxx-t can be converted to an sct, and i scrounged some parts..
The xxt is my younger sons (8) and he loves that X5 body i finagled onto it...he also has better control than his brother. I have one more chassis for it but the front bulk head ( its really a cheesy hinge) is not going to live much longer. I found one on ebay for 35 bucks at the time and replaced the one that he crashed last year. Once this one goes, i need to find a plan "B" thats bmw aint gonna fit on the xxx-sct that is waiting.
i guess what i am getting at is
i am hoping that brushless sensored trucks, when throttled down, will teach control to the boys. And me too by Running the cars with them.
if anyone reading this knows about JR XS3 configurating, please pm me.
thanks for reading
and the experience

Happy New Year all,
I am looking for recommendations for the ESC for the boys.
To recap
We have:
Losi XXX-T
Losi XX-T
17.5T brushless motors...
I would like to have the ability to limit their speed so as not to blow them up, and will the esc stop workingafter a certain voltage limit is reached on the LiPo?
I dont trust them ( or myself) to know when to stop...
