Default Battery Suggestions Please

We are going to switch from the brushed XX/XXX-T to brushless motors.
We have the Thunder Power single charger. for the 4 assorted LiPo batteries I have for my papamobile... 13.5T Tekin and Mamba ESC in the XXX-T and Candera SCT conversion.
The boys have XX-T and XXX-T and I will be upgrading them to 17.5T and 2 different types of ESC I bought used...

This hobby sucks it out of you when you need to buy most things in pairs of triples...

So the question that I have, what would be the best bang for buck batteries for us.

Charging a LiPo took over an hour... 5000mAh 50C
What would you folks do to make our time at the track or field better...

more chargers?
a dual to add to the current one?

Thanks for reading and helping a newb

For the kids

Just to rip around with ? Hobbyking turnigy 5000 mah 20c packs . there about 20 bucks apiece. Buy them from the usa wharehouse. I cannot reccomend their chargers . I have seen two burn up withing the first few hours of use.

For the charger , Its worth it to pick up the Hitech quad charger. I know its a lot of money ... $200.00 . But charging 4 lipos in 1 hour is great. And it will serve you well no matter which way the hobby and the kids take you.

I would suggest at least on charger per person you will be running... and if you end up with a 1:8 style rig with two batteries that one counts for two chargers itself.

This will go a long way to allowing more track time vs pit time.

Consider a one stop shop at Hobbypartz.com

Thunder charger is the same as the newer HiTech quad charger for a lot less: http://www.hobbypartz.com/73p-t6x4-charger.html

They have GensACE lipos as well.

Another consideration on the battery shoul dbe SMC. They have a $22 budget 2S http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...product_id=117

This one has served me well... not fancy, but it does the job without issue and is on the inexpensive side.

I had this one for a short time, it always seemed to work as well as my higher end chargers, just took longer than i wanted, so is didn't use it much.

I run two chargers and 4 - 5000mah 4s batteries and I can go all day. I think with two chargers and 3 - 5000 mah 4s batteries I could run all day. This is with an RC8.2e with a Tekin 1900 kv motor

GRasshopper,
does this charger come with AC cord?
I might be spending the cash for 6 of the batteries and this charger.
Multiples of 3 is what I am having to do...

Brodenburg,
another option is that http://www.amazon.com/Thunder-Balanc...-2147483554-20

2 of those and the thunder power one I have,
plus the 6 http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...product_id=117
for about 230 bucks...

What do you guys think...
each one of us will have a charger and 2 batteries.

I used that charger for years , did good work. It takes 1 hour to charge a 5000mah 2 s battery. If you have 3 batterys you can pretty much run non stop all day

No that's a DC charger...you would also need a power supply.

for batteries, promatch has some 6500mah 70C packs I believe for $45 . You get a 1 year warranty with there stuff. I use the 7200mah ones and have been quite happy with them.
