Weird ESC issue. please help before the weekend!
So I'm having a strange problem with my Slash. It has the Hobbywing SC8 120a ESC.
Upon full throttle from a stop its very sluggish for maybe 1 full second before the normal torque you would expect from the motor. Sometimes also when stopped and hit full throttle from a stop, throttle goes dead but steering works until I let off and go again.
I reset the ESC already, updated it to the latest firmware and calibrated my radio again just to be certain. I also changed the motor to eliminate that. Radio has also been swapped out.
Here is a video of the truck with no drag (its to dark out to show it driving). In the video each time I accelerate it is instant full throttle. The delay is exaggerated when on its wheels with the drive train weighted.

Does the truck roll easily with motor backed off spur gear? Seems like either something is binding up or drag brake on esc is set high. I know the rear driveshaft bearings are notorious for going out on those slashes.

I had the same issue with a HW 120A v2.1 and it turned out to be the sensor cable. I could see no signs of damage on the cable so I assumed it was something else.
The issue didn't happen all the time either, it would come and go.
As soon as I switched out the sensor cable for a new one I never had the problem again.
Tested the bad sensor wire out on another vehicle and it caused issues too.

Wow. That is really weird. Could just be possible it is a bad esc. Have you tried asking in the Hobbywing thread?

Try turning off drag brake and set punch to 9 and timing to maximum. Also after changing any settings always recalibrate your radio. Also if your radio has any abs or traction control settings make sure they are off.

Try reinstalling firmware on speedo, then recalibrate and setup.
