I've been stockpiling as many stock parts as possible, too.

Is anyone having issues with shorty packs puffing at all? I have a 6.5t motor no name brand and a hobbywing 3.1 esc. Another mate at the track is getting the same issue. Motor got to about 75c deg today in + 30c deg weather temp in sydney. The esc is ok there is no heat there.

What motor, batts, and gearing? I have zero issues with an orion 6.5 and nano-tech batts.

So your mate is also having this issue with the same battery? What is the C rating?

Default Sway Bars

I need some heavier sway bars for my carpet setup.
I've read in here some have used Serpent 1/8 car ones in 1.8 and 2.0mm. Anyone know off hand which Serpent 811 Buggy they are from?

Or, you could get some music wire from just about any hobby shop, and use some vice grips to bend your own. Most hobby shops have a display from K&S Metals with a bunch of different size music wire. Google K&S metals, look on their site to see what size the wire is. Use a conversion site to figure out what the wire size is in mm. Go get some wire of the sizes you want. Bend up some sway bars of your own. Instead of ordering what you hope is the right part and having to wait, you can make your own, and have it today (if you LHS is open on Sunday).

Ya, already looked. No dice. If I need them to order it it'd be quicker and easier to order some Serpent ones myself.

Thanks, there's a few different listed for 811.
By the pic I think these will do with a little tweaking

Those are the correct parts. You will have to bend them to generally match the D413 sway bars then cut them to the right length.

Be sure to bend one for the front and one for the back since they aren't the same.

Here's a 1.8 bent 99 percent correct and marked for the dremel cutoff wheel.

And ready to go.

Default short course super Sunday

I was at track today for 7 hours with what it seemed to be 20 sct on track at all times.my car was so dialed it was crazy.i could turn anywhere, jump and land anyway I wanted. I felt like I was playing Mario cart with boost picking off all other cars and trucks.i even had a repaired front tower that held up all 7 hours.better than a new one. I just wanted to share how awesome this buggy is.i ran my 21 pinion again and highest temp was 170 in my last run when I ran it the hardest not caring if I broke. Car in one piece and wanted to keep going, but I was tired.thanks everyone for your suggestions and help.

Had a race this weekend on a very large, bumpy, loose blown out track and was trying a few different things and one of the things i wanted to try was a longer wheelbase so i cut 3mm off the back of the arm and slid it back on the hingepin and put 3mm of spacers in front of it. It really locked the rear end in and gave me a slight push but was very stable.
