what servo works best
im looking to upgrade my steering servo on my losi 8ight t e. im going to run a cc bec to utilize high voltage. i was eying to different savox servos the 1267sg or the 1268sg. ones got more torque a bit slower then the other. im not sure looking at the numbers how much it matters torque versus speed. whats really necessary? the 1268 is .11 with 347 torque and the 1267 is .9 at 277 torque. any feedback would be great i don't know how to judge the differences.

I use the savox 1267 in my 8ight Buggy on 6v bec and love it! It is fast and strong and have not had any problems with it.

486oz of tq and titanium gears! ive had the savox 1267 before and there is too much slop in the geartrain. Hitec has no slop at all. |

The 7955 used to be my go to servo. Now it is the 7950.
another thing to keep in mind is that a faster servo will make the car more difficult to drive. |

Hitec 79XX servos rule!
7955 is perfect for nitro with 8.4v lipo. 7955 is perfect for 4x4 SCT or any 2 cells lipo class with a direct lipo setup. But for E 1/8th, a faster model is better. I run the 7955 in my E buggy, but I might tap the balance plug to get 8.4 volts directly to it to speed it up some. So the 7945, 7940 may be the better choice for E buggy. The 7945 would be my recommendation for 6.0v use. I despise regulators. |

Regulators don't hold a steady voltage under load as well as their specs say they're supposed to. And they tend to fail sending my nitrobuggy off the track at warp 4 until the conrod goes through the engines block.
Since Ebuggies generally don't have an engine to blow up, they just start glitching and end up in the creek/ river/ pond/ whale stomach instead. "CC 20a regulator" is fighting words. If my ESC doesn't output 8.4 volts to my servo, because it's a pathetic ESC, then I try to get the servo 8.4v directly from the battery some how, or I run a faster servo that works ok at 6.0v like the 7945. Adding a failure prone regulator isn't needed. |

I don't. E buggies are generally stuck with 6.0v output from the ESC. The 7955 is flawless at 8.4v, but a little slow at 6.0v.
