Default Savox 540 Sensored Brushless Motor

Hmmm...

These new 540 motors from Savox are rebuildable and are optimized for 1s and 2S LiPo packs. Motor winds range from 4.5T to 23.5T so these should work with a variety of 1/10 off and on-road vehicles, including pan cars. Read the press release below from Savox for more info:

Savox Sensored Brushless Motors are designed for superior power and throttle control. The lightweight design and cooling vents help create efficient air flow and lower temperature while the easy to read timing marks allow for drivers to adjust power for their needs.

Haha I was gonna ask if they are extremely loud and completely inefficient.

I've been using the 17.5 Savox motor for a few months now and so far I have been impressed. They're good motors for sure

Compared to the Speed Passion Motor I had before, the Savox is a better motor.

The Savox 17.5T has me running just a hair slower then the D3.5s at my track and I am coming off the track at 114 after 5 minutes with stock timing. I like it much better then the Novak Ballistic or the Thunder Power 17.5s. My 8.5T has plenty of power, and slightly under-geared for torque, it comes off under 100 degrees, definitely better then the 160 my 8.5 Novak comes off at with the same gearing .

I haven't heard anything going wrong with them. if I didn't already have all new SMC motors, I would definitely pick one of these up.

Thumbs up

I'm currently running a Savox 10.5 in my SC10. Works great coupled with my Justock ESC I'm running. Relatively inexpensive and the performance is on par with everything else on the track I run at. I can't complain for the price.

Also, since it's been running so well I decided to pick up a 7.5 to run in my T5m. Jury is still out on that one though, I just finished building it and won't be able to use it until the next race in a couple of weeks.
