Does anyone know if the steel driveshafts for a traxxas e maxx will work on a hpi e savage?

Been a long while since I have looked into esav upgrades. I would just save the broken traxxas shafts to build a stronger one...use two wide ends and link them together with a cut piece of the narrow end. Strong enough for brushless.
