Default Fit a Slash motor or Firebolt in RC10T4

I am looking for a way to fit either the brushed Traxxas motor or HPI Firebolt into my T4. I don't want to spend too much on my old truck but I would like to use spare parts in it while I'm waiting for my Blitz to cool down.

I tried bolting the two motors mentioned into the T4 but the base of these motors are extended and don't fit through the motor plate.

Any ideas? I'll upload pictures if this does not make sense.

Are u talking about the team associated t4 stadium truck!? If so I don't see any reason why the motor would not just bolt right up! I have the t4 and I have a traxxas velineon in it, and the blitz is the same as the t4 cause I used to run a velineon in it as well!

The Titan 12T does not fit in the motor plate of the RC10T4 (Associated). There is an extension to the can that does not fit through the hole.

I uploaded some pictures of the motors in question. The problem area is that section of the can and the shaft that holds the pinion gear.

Any help will be appreciated as I do not want to spend any additional money on the old truck. (It does not yet deserve the "vintage" status yet.)
