Don't worry about the ftw body it looks like an UGLY POS to my eyes :P. The sides are too broad and the windows too small for it to look pretty. Best looking is the bitty design body but that needs flat 6s packs which I run sometimes with my 1400 kv motor . Let us know how the drive shaft min wears in the front center cvd, the 2012 had an issue with that a lot!

The XB9E have very straight long chassis sides while the RC8.2E body tapers both in the front and early in the rear resulting in huge gaps when placed on the Xray chassis.

So which buggy out there have long straight chassis sides with minimal taper to them

losi 8ight bodies might be the best fitment

He he.....no FTW so far

Problem with the nitro bodies is to find room for the 4 cell packs......especially when they are moved all the way forward.

I'll keep an eye on outdrives and pins.
I have the Hudy pin tool and change the pins on a regular basis on the XB4.
Keeps the outdrives fresh for MUCH longer

I'm trying the Finnisher for the XB9 '12 now.

It should be close since the XB9E uses the '12 chassis from the nitro.
Side pods are different though so we'll see once I've cut it out

That tool is a godsend. I replaced all my tekno sct pins with hudy 12mm pins as well last a bit longer and no wear still on the tekno outdrives as well!. I just wish they start allowing 6s softpack in ebuggy here in the states like in europe, nitro bodies look so much better with the flatter side profiles . 2650 to 3300 6s is all I need for a 10 12 min main cooler temps.

The pin tool is genius and since the pins are softer than the outdrives you can make them last for ages if you replace the pins on a regular basis.

And the added bonus is a suspension that cycles smoooothly

Problem is there is no established standard yet for the E-buggy class over here.

Qualifiers and finals range from 5 min all the way up to 45 min.

But I totally agree.....1350-1400KV motor and a smaller 6S pack would be ideal.

I'll most likely get the new T8i (have them on preorder) and order up some dual 3S or 6S packs as well to test

Yeah here ROAR has put a 4s limit to control speeds. But manufacturers still put out crazy 2650 motors which is more than a correctly geared 6s setup. ROAR or any sanctioning body should just put a end KV limit choose whatever battery motor combo. Anyways back to the Xray any news when we can order the battery tray and servo mounts??

Well.......some good news

The JConcepts Illuzion Finnisher Xray XB9 Body part #0244 is almost a 100% direct fit

By just shimming the front body mount a few millimeters up it barely touches the battery straps (not the battery itself).
This is using dual hard case 7.4V IP7200mAh/80C stick packs.

You can follow the original cut lines and just clearance slightly on the right side for the steering linkage/servo saver.

With velcro on the bottom of the body and along the chassis sides it fits almost 100%

I'll post some pictures later tonight

I've got a question to anyone who might know?

Would the conversion kit fit the 13xb9 and if it does would it make a better e-buggy?

Cheers

If they take too long, the EB48 will be my next car instead.

The last few releases have been done in multiple languages....

I believe that they are just cleaning up some of the final translations and the release should go live any time now...
