The track we race on has a front straight that's 170' long. It was dry slick so I was running my 1600, during practice just for the fun of it I put in a 5s pack. I would give almost any thing to have a picture of what the front tires looked like at the end of the straight, my guess is about 9" in diameter, I could be way off but they looked like they were going to fly off the rims at any moment. Good think I use AKA glue or they probably would have flown away. Oh by the way my lap times were pathetic with 5s setup, way too much power for my skill level. No I didn't turn any thing down. I put a 4s in for the main and came in 2nd for the day and for the season. Hot Bodies d8t Tekno conversion, awesome setup imo! Can't wait to upgrade!!!

My current thinking is that I'll either look at the 2000 T8 Truggy motor or the 2050 buggy motor, with an RX8 Gen2 ESC and ProTek 150T Steering Servo.

I might possibly go 6s though (in search of nitro main length run times), in which case I think I'd use the 1350 T8 truggy motor.

We used to always go back and forth between 2 motors for 6s, the 3D 1350 truggy motor and the 1.5y 1500 truggy motor. If your track has some nice long straights the 1550 is great geared down just a touch. The 1350 is great for any track with a straightaway 120' or less.

Interesting. Doing the napkin math made me think the 1350 on 6s should have similar speed to a 2050 on 4s. I guess I'll have to re-think the motor choices.

They are quite similar IMO, with a bit more low end torque on the 1350@6s.

That being said, my truggy runs 20-25 minutes on 6s and it's complete overkill. I just moved to 2050@4s and after a 7m qualifier still only put ~2500 into 7200 packs.

My goal is 30 minutes so I can run the Nitro mains when there aren't enough for eTruggy. I have a few ideas, but am waiting to see what of them may be feasible.

When you were hitting 20-25 min on 6s, what mah pack?

They've commented that they're focusing on getting the NB48 out into people's hands first. That's been available for pre-order for a bit now, so I would expect they'll soon™ have them shipping and then able to focus on the ET again.
