While I can't answer myself as I don't know of anyone currently running two servo's in electric...

I agree, but he also has Savox all over his sig which are notorious for absolutely excessive amp draw in comparison to other brands. In a lot of situations they're cheap, but you pay for it in other ways. I assume it's for mechanical brake, so you could be in a hard turn/brake at the same time probably stressing both a bit leading to some heavy draw.

I would recommend posting in the RX8g2 thread.

Thanks. I'm not planning on doing this anytime soon; I beat these things up too bad to add any additional complexity. Mostly considering for high-temp summertime racing and potentially to increase run time assuming the servo can do the breaking with less power. (not sure if that is true or significant)

Does anyone know if Austin Blair has his NorCal set up posted anywhere? I'd like to give it a try but can't find it anywhere.

Nice looking Truggy!!! Love the paint!

Finally got mine on the track for the first time at the Tiltyard opener over the weekend. Very impressed with the Handling, Jumping, Traction, and Stability of the truck! Its almost like cheating... I ran a Buggy Pinion and Ring gear in the front with 10, 7, 5 in the diffs. That worked very well and the truck just pulled all the way throughout the corner... I'm thinking of going 15 10 5 in the diffs next and keeping the Buggy pinion and ring gear in the front.

I believe it was just testing in prep for the electric 8th nats. Look for a setup from there and you should see the same thing if you find it.

I can't find any of his et48 setups just the buggy and sc
I'm looking for the setup he was running in this video

Just ordered my ET-48! I am super stoked to finally be able to play around on my local track with one of these!

I am in no hurry so I am just going to be placing orders here and there for the parts... but - my question to you all:

Is there any way to to easily differentiate whether or not I have a newer or older version of the truggy? I have seen the posts about the case screws being shorter than they should be - is this the best way to try and figure out the build date then?

I have been following the thread for 20 pages or so LoL...

p.s. If anyone cares - I got the kit from Stormer for $538.00 shipped! :D

I believe Austin was no longer with the team at the time of truggy release, I wouldn't count on a setup existing. I know Mark Unrath has a pretty good setup, and my setup is about ready to share.

There is only one version of the kit at this time.

I am starting to look around for a motor/esc and battery set-up for my rig and I thought I'd check with you all since you guys have already been testing set-ups...

1. I am going to run the Tekin 1350kV and RX8 (Gen 2) combo for motor and esc.
2. I want a good set of 6S packs to run this... What would you all recommend for a good battery?

Keep in mind that this is my first electric r/c vehicle (since I was a kid), so I am trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can! :D

Some guys tell me I should just get hard-case packs while others say it doesn't matter... I have no clue! LoL! I have looked at the SMC 6S hard-case packs and they seem pretty legit to me but I wanted to see what you guys had to say before I take the plunge on that big of a purchase!

Thank you in advance!

SMC all the way! I've been slowly switching all my batteries to SMC, great performance at a great price. I'd go with the 4300 pack, it has the same energy density as the 4s 6500 packs so you'll make 10min for sure.

boudin4evr 06-09-2014 01:06 PM

thats what I run in my truggy, same tekin motor and esc with SMC 4300 6s
