This might sound like a stupid question (Yet AGAIN), but would a HW xerun 150a easily handle 6s lipos? Also, do 6s lipos usually put more strain on the ESC compared to 4s? More number of cells = more stress/heat?

It will handle 6s but you may need an external BEC. The Built in BEC is a bit weak in those. 6s with a low KV motor (1500kv or so) is very efficient and will be easier on your esc than a low voltage / high amperage setup.

So if you were to keep all other variables out of the equation (such as cost, current chargers/batteries/motors etc) you would go with a 6s setup?
YES, and as noted it's not legal for real ROAR events (yet). I'm sure at some point roar will get their head out of their rear and catch up with every other event rules.. everyone allows 6s at this point for large 1/8 tracks. BTW with the gear ratio of the tekno etruggy you want lower KV motors, 1350 is your best bet w/ a 6s config. 1900kv-2000kv w/ the 4s config. You cannot gear a 1550kv low enough w/o some mods to allow a smaller pinion. (may not be able to run the center brace at all) Also worth noting if you stay away from Savox servo's and you won't typically have BEC issue in any setup. Savox are literally the most inefficient servo's you can buy.. why do you think they are so cheap. Will they work.. sure will they ever be in any of my vehicles? Not unless they start paying me to race um LOL. |

JeremyMcG look this page and see my post on the new shims with the picture of my rear diff. I emailed them on a Monday and I had my new shims on Thursday. After five packs through with the new shims I had no wear. Tekno takes care of their customers.:batman::spidey:

True story.
On another topic, when i exit slow corners my truck tends too spin out easely. What would you change first? Setup is stock, exept 10 x 1,2 pistons, 500f 400r links are one position lower on towers. |

What diff oil options do we get in this kit? And are the amounts substantial or hardly anything?

You get 20k and 10k in the box. Tekno gives you more than enough to build your diffs.

As noted you guys are crazy w/ such a high Kv motor on 6s lipo you can't gear it low enough... at least for racing. With the center brace in you are limited to a 15t pinion.. that is almost too much for the 1350kv t8 motor let alone the 1550. Maybe you are bashing though and it will be fine.
