The thing that stopped me from buying HPI was their near bankruptcy. Hobbico purchased all stock to keep them from going bankrupt. It just wasn't a comforting feeling buying from a nearly bankrupt company so I bought Associated.

False!

HPI wasn't going bankrupt, Great Planes didn't buy up "HPI's stock" they are strictly the exclusive North,Central, and South American Distributor... nothing more, nothing less! Before March 1st of this year anyone could've purchase HPI products directly from HPI (cutting out the middleman) because they were stocking inventory at their California World Headquarters. HPI Europe still manages the European/Asian distribution.
