TLR 8IGHT E 3.0 THREAD
#4111
I destroy my 3.0 battery tray all the time. I have had 2 now and I have a brand new one waiting to be modified. Was hoping someone made a nice conversion tray. Oh well, I'll just keep buying 3.0 trays.

I usually run a 16T pinion gear in my ebuggy. I'm upgrading to the TLR e-clutch. Do I use a 16T clutch bell or something smaller to more or less get the same speed on the track?
#4113
Stick with a 16T bell for the same top speed. Low end will be softer but top is unaffected.

Does anyone race with Tbone bumpers installed? Would you recommend it?
#4116
Tbone has saved my Senton from total destruction on more then 1 occasion.
they are awesome....
In the super cold they do get a touch brittle though...

This buggy really handles well with the battery mod. i was able to use all screws but one as I drilled and tapped as needed. I had a problem with the center diff coming loose during a race and cost me an RX8 G2. I may try the 5,5,3 as well, but my handling is really good, super stable. I use different tires front and rear, more aggressive front, and loose on the rear. I use a Vant battery on this and never lack for power. This is by far the best rc car I have ever owned.

its good but there is always better! LoL

It depends on the car, the setup and the track. Generally I like T-bone bumpers but I have seen a couple guys mess up landing jumps because of the front bumper sticking out so far. Now if they had landed the jumps better it would have been a non-issue but with the stock bumper even landing a bit nose heavy they would have come way from the jump just fine but the T-bones hit and threw them off.

I would not run one on a race car!
#4122
I agree, on a track only car the small stock bumper is good. On a basher T-Bones usually work great

Please help. I am trying to learn more about set up. In the TLR 8ight 3.0 Tuning Tips, it says in the section front camber link: "the longer front link will keep the buggy flatter, with less ROLL...Short camber link will ROLL more.
What do they mean by the word ROLL?Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. Thatīs because of the roll center, right? When you raise the position of the camber link at the shocktower, the chassis rolls more to the side and has more grip but also rolls over more quickly. Is that correct?
