Default Which Lipo Charger To Get?

I'm looking for an AC/DC Lipo charger that can do at least two saddle packs at once.

I'm still very new to this hobby have B44.2 with two Reedy Wolfpacks, looking to get a decent charger.

I'd like to stay around 150 range but will entertain a higher number if justified.

any particular reason you want to charge two at once? if you run one in your car and the 2nd is finished around the time it runs out.. what's the 3rd battery for? or maybe you're pre-charging two batteries and don't charge at the track?

A Duratrax 245 is a good charger under your budget and works very well.

I guess just to have the option of charging more batteries at once, just in case i decide to get another car down the road that may take a different battery style.

A guy I sat next to at the track had one of those, it looked awesome and would be awesome to have, especially if a couple friends join me for some track day fun.

I will keep an eye out.

I recommend the iCharger 206b with a PSU. It's a single port but charges much faster.

The reasoning is that even if you have 2 cars you can only drive one at a time. Having 2 1/2 charged when you're done is less helpful than having 1 fully charged when you're done.

the hitek x4 is not a very good charger. I have seen a lot of the ports go bad. Honesly, I would just buy 2 chargers. You can buy 2x hyperion i6060 chargers for that price. if you later decide you only need one, you can sell it. The sell used on the forums for about $70 in good condition. The ichargers are ok, but the buttons tend to have issues after a while. The hyperions are very well built.

If you're going the dual charger router, the Thunder AC6 is a solid buy at $40-something a piece.

Unfortunately, there aren't and dual/multi chargers that I'd recommend with a built in power supply. I run Amain's Protek Duo off of a converted server power supply ($15), and I've never had an issue.

Mike

HiTek x4 charger is the most popular charger at TRCR , maybe a 1/3 of all the racers use including me .
No body has had problems with, not one ...

No charger available that can compare for the money .

Interesting, these are the things I don't know. Glad I asked. I will do some research on the products mentioned.

Thanks again.

Top Sh0tta, do you go to wolcott hobbies? If so do they have any quality chargers there? I'd like to give a local business the money vs online retailers.

I frequent Wolcott and RCHR (in Waterbury as well), they both have chargers in stock, but I'm not sure what they have there. Give them a call.

+1000. This is a setup you can live with for a looooong time. Great charger. I have two of them and can charge 4 batteries at one time.

Call progressivrc and talk to those guys. They are the best in the business and have top notch service to boot.

These chargers have the ability to update the firmware quite easily too. Don't make a mistake with a charger. This is a place where you don't want to skimp and the guys at progressive can fix you up and do not oversell. At the very least, give them a call. You'll be glad you did.

You should check out the TrakPower VR-1 charger. Two chargers in one with some very nice features! I absolutely love my TrakPower charger!!
