1/8 2wd buggy?

1/8 2wd buggy?
So I have been wondering, with the ease of conversion from a 1/10 sct to a 1/8 2wd buggy, and everyone complaining about the parachute effect of the sct's, why hasnt 1/8 2wd buggy taken off. I loved driving my 22 buggy and my 22sct, but hated the parachute issue.
I can only think of a couple of real reasons. SCT looks cool with the realistic bodies, but come on they are the most expensive and easiest to destroy. big $$$ for manufactures (prob why they wont push 1/8 2wd.
Also SCT allows you to not become the greatest driver, but still be ok. The rubbin is racin class. All of the other classes you must learn to drive well with others, not just by yourself. This becomes more apparent when sct drivers also drive other classes. You can ususally tell these guys because they will literally try to drive over you in a turn.
I would really like to see some 1/8 2wd buggy. Either from converted 2wd sct's or 4wd buggys by locking center diff. I think it would great to get this class going.

I've always stuck to 1/10th because of the lack of a 1/8th 2WD class
Back in time the class existed, but cars were prototypes or conversions from 4WD, nothing really serious, it's sad...
Hey manufacturers, if you read this, it's time for real 1/8th 2WD cars, no more weak oversized 1/10th!

+1 for a 4x2 SCT converted to a SCB, I would LOVE a real 1/8 4x2 class though

trouble is brands will need a real demand for them considering it's a non-existent category
I see it this way:
- able to be used on a 1/8 scale track
- as strong as a 1/8 or almost, alloy chassis and plastic wing
- using 2s lipos and 4 pole 550 can motors
- able to use SCT or buggy tires

That's pretty much where is was going. Apparently the way things are now it would just take traxxas to start manufacturing one, then everyone would start making one to get in on the $$$. that's how sct started. I actually surprised grasses hasn't jumped in te the 1/8 ebuggy bandwagon with a revo based suspension
