Default APE wants your ideas!

APE wants your ideas!

I'm always looking for new product ideas. So I have a simple proposal. Submit your idea and if I decide to produce it you'll get the first example.

Some guidelines:
1. The product can be a replacement part that adds reliability or functionality to a vehicle, your radio, or your toolbox.
2. The product must be something that nobody else is making, or what is on the market is sorely lacking in some way.
3. I'm looking for products that can be machined.
4. Absolutely no "BLING". I don't want to make something that already exists in a different color.

You can either submit your idea here, or send it to me via email: [email protected]

Thanks,

Chris

Lots of people are showing interest in a b4.1 esc mount on the top of the battery tray.. I'd buy one if you made it.

Not sure if AE has done anything with the 4.2 (doubt it) and new rear hubs but its widely known they are way too loose.

Easy.
These hubs go on all AE cars/trucks.

No more 17mm hexes! Make them star shaped with rounded points please. I had a nice set of AKA rims/tires that my Mamba 2650kV system just chewed up and spit out. Rounded both sides on the rear of my Caster 1/8 buggy. BL/Lipo makes alot of power, so there needs to be a better alternative than the standard 17mm hex! The only problem is getting a wheel manufacturer to follow suit. Also shock tower/shock protectors for 1/10 and 1/8 buggies. They are exposed in rollover situations. Would be nice to protect our expensive investments from extensive damage with lightweight aluminum. Preferably anodized to our color of choice. Hex nut hubcaps that clip on with a spring. Only covers the center hole with a laser-etched logo or something flashy. That's all I got. Good luck!

A trophy truck body for that new Vaterra rock racer that horizon came out with. All of the crawler boards are filled with guys wanting a truck body for it and nothing that is currently made comes even close to fitting on it.

Taller battery bar/straps for the E-Maxx trucks, as velcro straps suck, and the extended Traxxas ones are not tall enough for some of the beefier 3S packs.

Deeper doors for the E-Revo/Summit, to fit the wider Turnigy/etc packs. Nobody makes them.

A simple metal/wire shelf that is custom sized to the dimensions of the Hitec X4 AC/DC. It's a popular charger and it would be nice to have something where either I could (a) raise the charger making more pit room for the batteries I'm charging or (b) secure the batteries in a shelf over the charger. In the case of (b) it would have to be high enough over the charger where I could still see the display.

In either way, it would be nice if the supports fold or clamp in so the whole thing folds flat.

Would be even cooler if it secured standard width lipos and helped secure the external balancing boards so that it would tidy up that area of my pit table. It tends to look like an octopus gone nuts.

I would imagine that you could do a nice simple job of this and it would would speak to everyone who has this or even other chargers.

I know something that would be really usefull for sure ! A Shock air vaccum that gets the air out of the shocks easier and does the bleeding and rebound for you you would only need to put the bladder and shock cap on .

How about that one i would love it !

The new TEKNO sct410 could use some aluminum 12mm hex`s that don't make the truck any wider......they dont even need to clamp on.

I would love one of these too, but for the rb5. Maybe if you made them for a few different cars, dex210, b4, rb5 etc

1. Durable, non-lexan wings for 1/10 buggies.
2. 2 or 3 pc rims for 1/10 buggies that allow foams to be changed. It's amazing that we're still gluing tires in the 21st century.
3. ball studs made of quality steel. Stronger than Ti should be pretty easy.
4. magnetic body mount system
5. A heavy duty switch for 1/8 vehicles.
