After this past weekends race, at WRL 4.1 the track was probably the most technical track I had been on and a lot of steering was needed, I fought a push all day long. Never had excessive body roll and the rear seemed planted pretty good, just not enough in steering. I think I am going to try the new setup before the next race there. I even added 1/2oz weight up front between my servos and transponder to see if that would help. And although the C-Main was my best race of the day picking up 2 laps from my best Qual. I was still behind the faster guys. Where can I find the complete setup? which one on the TLR web site is it?

My only concern about that setup is that I have a MIP chassis and my battery is a lot farther towards the rear than a std. 2.0 chassis and that will have to effect it.

No I wont be there, I want to go thru my truck and get rid of some of the slop from the ball ends, and check what pistons are in the shocks. I will try and get to Sparks atleast once before WRL 4.2

If you are going to do that latest brumfield setup, make sure you get the alum front holders and the 8ight 2.3mm front sway bar. The front sway bar needs about 1/16th of an inch cut off the tips where the ball ends attach so it doesn't interfere with the steering. Also that setup is for short motors like the pro4 and the hobbywing, so if you run the 550 can you might have to modify it slightly to get the full effect.
I will let you know what I think of it after tommorow night. Also the front droop (shock length) is achieved by unthreading the shock ends about 5 turns and the rear will need the droop set screws in the arms to limit the rear travel.
Remember when using the setup sheets, use the whole sheet, it won't work if you skip a line or a needed part. If there is something on there that doesn't make sense, just ask and one of us will get you an answer.

I been looking for a stock 2.0 chassis and towers to go back to, thought I had one but guy backed out. Guess I'll have to break down and buy a new one. That way I have more adjustments.

Ok guys...so i have been racing my truck on an outdoor loamy loose track all spring and summer..I am now converting it back to indoor mode...I used the dunford setup last season...Track is not huge, pretty tight, clay. Do i want to use the older set up or the new one everyone is running with the diffs at 7/7/5..is the new one really that much better?

I ran the dunford setup yeasterday at the ohio rc factory. The steering was good, but the traction rolling was a bit bad, I couldn't push the truck like I wanted to. The track is super high bite clay surface and we where running ghosted clay rattlers, almost bald clay typos and the traction was incredible. I went to a black front spring and orange rear spring with 5 wt heavier oil front and rear, and the truck felt better. The guys kept telling me I could lower the ride hieght but I was at 25.5 f and 25f and I was collecting alot of clay on the bottom of the chassis already. What else could I have done to limit the traction roll, so I could push the truck harder. I felt like tires helped, but I felt the problem was more in chassis setup than anything. I ran the complete dunford setup down to every detail and it felt super soft on the suspension too me right from the get go. Hopefully I will get another test day this week.
