there is/was a couple rollers, in the for sale forum, with big bores. they were about the same price as new shocks, and you have a whole extra chassis for parts. not sure if shipping to germany would be an option, but it's something to think about.

Wasnt hoping for that Info. They are quite expensive here in germany and dont come with springs, so we're talking about more than 100$ just for "an upgrade" :(
Can anyone tell of the stock-carbon A-Arms are worth the upgrade? I could get them in my shop next door right away :)

The carbon arms are not an "upgrade". It all depends on what your car needs. All of the carbon parts are to reduce flex. They are stiffer. So carbon towers wont flex as much as stock towers, there is a down fall though, they are more brittle due to the increased stiffness. I ran a carbon chassis and towers, everything else was regular plastic, it is the way I liked it. I tried the carbon arms and did not like them. Don't remember the effect they had on the car. On my Centro mid motor conversion I had the carbon front brace and front arms but left the rear stock. All of my 5 series vehicles use stock plastic parts.

I know the shocks are expensive, but they are worth it. Once I put the shocks on my B4, I bought them for my T4.1, my Centro, my B44.2 and my Prolite. The springs started to add up after that. Now I have plenty of springs for my 5 series of cars and trucks.

Thanks! I just found a guy who is selling his B4.2 FT for about 190$. So I get the Big Bores and for 90$ the complete FT Kit as spare parts :)

RC10B4.1 VS RC10B4.2

I have been out of the sport for a bit and before I left I bought a B4.1 RTR (first buggy all onroad before) and see they have a B4.2 and was wondering what the differences between the two were? My next question is what parts would fit my 4.1 if any? Thanks!

I'm sure if you search this site you can find a full list to convert if you want to. Should be fairly straightforward once you have the part numbers. You can still be plenty competitive with that buggy if have some talent but associated has moved on to the B5 buggies now.

This might be a full parts list. I can't remember off the top of my head.

That's an old Trinity slipper plate (part # TRI33010). They are no longer made.

Thanks a lot chris. Is the better than stock?

Any idea if AE will be coming out with a B5 RTR soon?

Sorry, old thread.. But what gearing do people use for racing 17.5 blinky? Searched a bit, and will search more later but seeing if someone might have the answer before I get back.

gearing

Well I use 32/69, anything more is to much for 17.5 blinky. I find that there is good torque and rpm with this gearing. Most of the club racers at my local track I'd set up this way. Hope this helps.

gearing

I have tried 33 and 35 with 72 spur gear. Motor was tempt at 150 degrees. I went back to 32/69 and it is butter.

Thanks for the info!

Mine had a Reedy Mach 2 geared at 34/69 with timing around 40 which gave it lots of top-end speed and my motor temp never went above 150. It was great for outdoor.
