I would expect this "new" kit to be the same price as the old since it's just a minor upgrade. The 44.2 is the same price as the 44.1 was before the 44.2 came out.

So difference between the b4.1 WC and B4.2

Big Bores
VTS Slipper
JC Aluminum Steering
Aluminum Hex
Carbon Hub towers (A?)
Shock Towers(Same Part#, just has groove for BB shocks, so same towers pretty much)

Am I missing anything??

Time to retire my 2006 factory team B4....

Jmuck69 01-10-2013 04:59 PM

Any word about a B5?

HAHAHAHAH!! just kidding!

Jmuck69 01-10-2013 05:02 PM

Looks like the rear tower has been moved forward a bit to give clearance like the mods some have done.

Where do you see that?

Jmuck69 01-10-2013 05:13 PM

I hope they fixed the 0 degree hubs!

Zachfeen 01-10-2013 05:15 PM

On the ultimate rc site it says February, I don't see any other hints as to release date or cost. I'm definitely going to return mine, otherwise I'll be kicking myself and itching to get my hands on one

I think the thread "owner" should post a 4.1 Worlds vs 4.2 Team comparison and update the first post with it. I would think the two are nearly identical but ?

I will post a comparison when I get home.

Eh, not quite. We have kept the B4.1 thread through all versions including the WC which has the +8mm chassis. The b44.1 and b44.2 are separated by the +8mm chassis as the major difference.

The b4.2 is a "new" car according to AE. It's not under the b4.1. Like the rest of the versions were.

Davidka 01-10-2013 05:23 PM

Kinda' under whelming but if the car is still selling, why redesign?

Interesting to me is no mention of "Factory Team Graphite plastics". I wonder if they have gone back to FRP?

Zachfeen 01-10-2013 05:24 PM

B4.2 has these things that the 4.1 does not.

VTS Slipper
Big Bores
Aluminum Bellcrank set
12mm clamping hexes front and rear

The B4.2 is not a new car. Not trying to argue or anything but when I have a B4.2 sitting on my table at home and have had it for a few months it is not a 'new' car. It is the same car bagged with a bunch of hop-ups. The geometry is exactly the same, the specs are exactly the same and so on and so on.
