I wasn't advocating a shorty only car. I, too, think that would be a bad idea especially with long mains. Even if the car sat at minimum weight, I don't think the punch would be that great in the pack. I was merely making a statement to the stupidity of such a rule, if in fact, one exists.

As far as I know SX3 was on market without any major modification (i.e. new kit) for 2 years now.

SX series had been at least 4-5 years already.

hmm hope at least gear diffs an option, and an actual thick 7075 machined aluminum chassis which does not need an undertray 1/8 style, with flex bracing not a top deck like touring cars. I just like tuning the feel of 4wd with diff fluids.

What size are the wheel hexes on the sx3? Hopefully the new car will be 14 mm like the other 2 big euro brands ( dingo and x ray ). No big deal if not though.

SX3 is not a hex drive it's a pin drive wheel

Hexes included are for use with old losi wheels (i.e. not 22 ones). If you get B44 hexes - you can use those too.

The more I look at the teaser pic the more I wonder if this is gonna be the first Cat with shaft drive. How could they possibly fit belts under that body?

I agree. And I think an alloy chassis. More flex is probably easier to deal with using shaft than belt drive.

But i could easily be wrong on both counts.

Idle speculation....ain't it fun? :-)
