Default SH .28 Nitro Engine

Hello All,

I am thinking about getting one of these SH .28 Engines. I would like to know what people think about it.

I can pick one up off of eBay for $140 + $10 for shipping.

The things I know about (or advertise about the engine) is:
Rear Exhaust
Pull-start (option to go to roto)
3.5 HP
I don't know the ports.

So please let me know what you all think about this thing? Is there a better engine for about the same price, and why? You heard it is a piece of crap? What ever.

I have tried to search for this item here. But I can not "SH" is to short.

Thanks for your time.
Nick

I have a friend who has that motor on his Manmoth MT and you cant even drive it. It's way too fast, but it is a good motor.

Unhappy

The person I have been talking to about getting one from him, tell me I will need a carb restrictor, because I have a VERY light Savage it will be going into.

Ive heard great things about that motor, and if you look you can find them even cheaper than that, I just got one from Craigs list for $75, new in the box. But it wont fit my Jato:/ anybody know of a killer motor for the jato? (short of an OS TZ)

I`ve put a few of the SH .28 engine in my LSTs and a friends LST . Great engines , fast , and powerful . I put one in a customer`s Savage and ran great and had no problems controlling it . I suppose if your good with throttle control you won`t have any problems . Some people drive full throttle or nothing .

**Why is this thread in the electric section ?
