This stuff is awesome, sticks like crazy so make sure you have it lined up right the first time. I cut a piece the size of ESC and so far has lasted a full year of Indoor and Outdoor season

Used this for all my electronics, works great...

Does anyone use anything other than 2 sided ESC tape to attach their ESC? I always seem to have my ESC moving around from the tape getting warm/warn quickly. Any other ideas? I thought maybe a few drops of shoe goo, but wondered if that would be too "permanent".

Thanks in advance!

I have some really good tape that works great and peels off clean. I think it's made by 3M. Wish I could remember cause when I run out would love to find some more. The tape is grey and backing is red.

That is a 3m tape and they sell it at Home Depot or most hardware stores. That stuff is awesome.

Been using the "outdoor" 3M tape for years now. Broke a few ESC cases from it holding so good after sitting for a few months haha. Triple stacked it for my RX8 Gen1 and it held up fine until I reverse polaritied it haha!

Yup! It's solid http://products3.3m.com/catalog/secu...er/output_html . I use it to hold my two server power supplies together and I also used it to stack two 2s batteries for my buggy. Its super strong! Get the 20lber ;)

yep thats what i use. i get it at ace hardware and it is awesome, holds great, and doesnt leave a residue when removing

If you haven't used the 3m stuff before, wipe surfaces clean and then when you place the ESC hold it in place with good pressure for about 30-45 seconds so the tape adhesive takes a good set.

That stuff holds an aluminum viper ESC like its nothing and aluminum can be tough for tape to grip!

We use that same stuff for tracking devices attached to vehicles, assets, etc. ;).

Are the Revtech 4 pole short course motors Roar approved? I have been thinking of getting a Roar approved motor and I love the Revtech I have in my 2wd buggy wouldnt mind having one in the SC too.

It doesn't look like any 4-pole motor is legal. :weird:

Sroll down a bit. The Tekin pro4 4000 and 4600 are listed.

ArmySSG 08-15-2013 07:19 AM

I didn't see the Pro4HD series listed.. I guess I won't be racing in any ROAR events anytime soon.. Oh wait.. I probably wouldn't have regardless (not that good yet!)

Guys this is off topic but I come in here cuz I'm building a 410 right now, and I need to talk to u guys before Horizon manager calls me back. So I call Horizon like 2wks ago tech dept. ask them if they can solder a switch and the servo cable I'm supplying back onto my Orion R10 speedo. Guy says let me check puts me on hold comes back yes we do but not covered under warranty have to charge u, ok awesome. Send it in yesterday the tech calls me cant solder them back on but can sell u one for 20% off, yea. Tell him wait I called in was told u could do it, he says I don't think we sell the switch now I know this guy is an idiot and don't know what he's talking about. Called back after getting off phone with him talked to another guy he said he thinks they do it, but can't confirm or put me through to his boss cuz there gone for the day. It says on there site they repair them, they sell the parts? So manager is calling me back today, has anyone had Horizon fix solder any switches on any speedos u have owned? Anyone know if they do this kind of work for a fee of course? If they don't which I don't know why they wouldn't does anyone know anyone or anywhere I can send this R10 to have a switch and the servo cable that goes to the receiver soldered back onto the board? Thanks so much guys sorry so long and off subject.
