:batman:I have just purchased a NIB Novak ballistic 550 4.5t motor in a great forum deal to see what it can do in the SCT :batman: hehehe. Doing some research to see what sort of voltage I can send through that puppy.

bearings

The last order I placed I received in about 3-5 days. I like to have ton of bearings on hand. Last order I placed I got 2 full kit orders and 20 or so hub bearings as they go bad faster then others. Bearings usually last me 1 to 2 months depending on the tracks I run on, if not A LOT longer

sramos are those ceramic bearings you are going through that much ?! and are you having to replace the the hubs on your truck? i raced 3 races (tkr 5570) 2 was at the hobby shop, and 1 was at the factory and the hub is just cracked.

@Bcholka & @mr240 Thanks for the comments on the body.. I think I'll run my normal body during the heats and this one for the Main.. Or if I TQ change the lid for picture purposes lol.. Yea the guy does great work and anything you can imagine he can lay it down fairly quickly. It cost me $90 bucks, He provided the body, and paint and shipped it to me, I just provided the idea.

@JRapid I was waiting on that vid.. It looked like you cleared all your jumps with ease and didn't have that nose dive issue that everyone talks about.. I'll make sure to do a video response to yours after this weekends race here in Savannah, GA. Are you coming to the Summer Scorcher? I did notice a few roll overs, I don't know if it was merely a throttle issue or spring issue around the corners.. What's your camber and ride height set to? I think for the most part the SCT410 is a beast without many mods at all, after that its up to the driver..

@E-Revo1/16 No hate here brother.. I had a MERV, and STRC Slash 4x4 and my son has a 2WD Slash.. IMHO I just feel the traxxas (fastest name in RC) is only referring to their XO-1 which by the way has no real application outside of the stadium they shot the video at.. The slash was fun and a great intro to RC for me, and I loved my MERV... BUTTTTT for real racing the Tekno is the way to go! My Slash couldn't and would never hang in real competition racing even after switching out the majority of stock parts. Just sayin..;)

Regular bearings. And actually aren't going thru them much at all. They are lasting a lot longer then I stated, but I replace them anyway. No problems with my hubs. Haven't replaced or broke hardly anything

well my driving style isn't the greatest yet with me being a newb and all! lol the good thing was it didn't happen in a race, I found them cracked when I was taking the truck apart to clean the bearings, speaking of bearing can you get those for other people at that price? I would like to have a extra set on hand if at all possible.

Cool thanks! So far these have been like one of my favorite tires when its very dusty here, and even seem to work well wet. M4 or M3 compounds depending on traction.

If you find you need more punch, see if you can find someone selling the high torque rotor.

Will do. Currently realized that Novak isn't making the stators anymore due to high cost of the magnets. But some stores still have them. Looking on ebay right now.

Sean,
Do you have the part #'s handy for the avids?
Thanks!

Drove my SCT410 for the second time today at my friends backyard track.

Tried Losi green springs all around on a astro track and the damping felt good, but in the corners, when the car rolls, it's like the inside goes and the outside doesn't go down. Which results in griproll. I think a soft spring would be better right? He gave me his silver Losi springs to test.

I also tried the front camberlink in the upper hole on the tower and that calmed down the frontend a lot! Try this if you're griprolling on high traction surfaces.

And last, my lipo's are extremly hot after driving for 6-7mins. They are 5500mah and 45C. I think that they swell up from the fast discharge. I'm running the Hobbywing 4700kv combo. I dropped from a 15T pinion to a 14T and temps and runtime seemed to be a little better. Would the 4000kv be more efficient?
