Big bores still won't make a sc10 4x4 run with the Tekno or Losi. I did every mod made just about to my old sc10 4x4 and it still didn't drive as good as the durangos or losis at the track.....:(

I'm sure this SCT410 will kill any sc10 4x4 with equal drivers behind the wheel of each ride.....

Is there a more specific eta on the kits hitting stores yet?

once I had the 3.5 degree toe in block, it was like the last piece to be honest on the SC10 4x4 in addition to all the others LOL.

But, that is part of the reason I am going with the SCT410, so I don't need these pieces. And, having an EB48, I am all set for sharing parts.

Savox works fine with the RX-8 as long as you don't run Spektrum. I have used both Futaba and Airtronics with no brown out issues at all.

Many different experiences stated on the savox TG servos. Mine was a poor experience... no spectrum.

Asking for trouble IMO with that servo and a high amp draw system that will end up in a conversion truck. 1/10 buggy, fine (with a esc that has a good bec).

Save $20 roll the dice on your experience or get a good servo that doesn't suck 5a @ 6v at a high load pushing any of the internal bec's out there.
$99 AE servo for example as a better servo for a couple bucks more.

But timelam, like all of us, run what you want... but the dreaded brown out that you speak of is primarily experienced by savox users. Use your own judgement.

Didn't want to muddy up this thread with another savox debate, not my intention, just a passing comment to help timelam. On second thought... MX, your right. Let's move past the tired savox debate.

Any clue as to wen it's going to be for sale?

Cain 12-27-2012 09:57 PM

Its available for pre-order from a variety of places.

Most likely the quickest way to get it will be from Tekno direct.

For the cheapest, that would probably be tower hobbies. Right now, it can be had for as low as $339.99 shipped after club discount before Dec 31st. If you are not a member, its $349.99 (added in buying the membership).

That's exactly what I ran in my SC10 4x4, RX-8, Spektrum SR300, and Savox 1258TG. You could easily get the receiver to shut off with the steering. Only fix that worked for me was a Castle BEC. Never a problem since.

I'm moving this setup into this truck when I get it but I'm hoping the Radiopost receivers I'm switching to will let me ditch the external BEC.

I don't know anyone that wires directly from the servo to the battery. It's not needed. This stuff ain't rocket science, all of this stuff has been done and done and done again. Tired of folks "reinventing" the wheel everyday.

It's not about the same wheel, rather finding a better way.

Alright guys no more keyboard commando games lol.

Back on topic here. So who's preordered one already? I'm thinking of waiting til they are out so I can drive one at the track before I buy one.
